Keepers 2: Shattered Realms picks up the story with a new princess protagonist who’s finally old enough to attend keeper school. The pressure of living up to everyone’s expectations weighs heavy on her shoulders, but that’s just the beginning of her problems.

The plot follows two separate storylines that keep things interesting. You’ve got the princess uncovering secrets that even the former queen couldn’t solve, all while dealing with forces working against her since birth. Meanwhile, there’s this cow girl in a completely different realm who has zero memories of her past and people hunting her down.

What makes this sequel solid is how it mixes familiar faces with new characters. The writing does a decent job of building tension around the princess’s struggles while keeping the mystery elements engaging. If you played the first Keepers game, this one expands the world nicely.
