Womb Defense Force 1.2 (English)

Womb Defense Force throws you into a brutal sci-fi world where humanity’s own creations have turned against them. You control Commander Layla, leading her elite SSS squad in a desperate fight against the Neo-Humanoids, mutant super soldiers that were supposed to protect mankind but now want to wipe it out completely.

This is pure run-and-gun action with solid 2D shooting mechanics. The weapon variety keeps combat interesting as you blast through mutant territory. The story gets pretty dark with the whole spawning vessel concept, but the fast-paced gameplay makes up for it. If you’re into retro-style shooters with a decent sci-fi plot, this one delivers the goods without too much fluff.
