Whispering Ledger puts you in the shoes of a shopkeeper trying to make it big in a politically messy trade city. You leave your quiet island home to set up shop in Valencia, where things get complicated fast when you realize you’re selling goods to warring factions.

The reputation system actually matters here. Sell weapons to one side and the other faction starts giving you dirty looks. The political tension keeps you on your toes because one wrong move could tank your business or worse. Managing inventory while navigating faction politics makes every sale feel important.

It’s still early development but the core concept is solid. The writing does a good job making you feel like a small fish in a big pond trying not to get crushed by the bigger players.
