Factory hits you with the kind of existential dread that makes you question your own day job. This experimental visual novel from Paper Sun Studio doesn’t mess around with happy endings or power fantasies. You follow an ordinary guy stuck in the soul-crushing routine of factory work, making choices that all lead somewhere pretty bleak.

The writing captures that “work, suffer, repeat” cycle perfectly. You get four different endings, but don’t expect any of them to be uplifting. The developer’s note about clocking in at their own factory instead of writing says everything about what kind of mood this game puts you in. It’s short, depressing, and weirdly compelling if you’re into that dystopian slice-of-life stuff.
