Drive To Nowhere hits different than most visual novels. This isn’t some power fantasy or romance sim. You’re following a mother and her adult son who basically have nothing left after she leaves her husband. They’re living out of their car with barely any money and no real plan.

The writing doesn’t pull punches about what being broke actually looks like. Every choice feels heavy because you’re constantly deciding between bad options and worse ones. The game throws some really uncomfortable situations at you where keeping your morals intact might mean going hungry. The relationship between the mom and son changes based on how desperate you let things get.

It’s depressing as hell but in a good way. If you want something that actually deals with real problems instead of fantasy nonsense, this one’s worth checking out.
