Zombie’s Retreat 2: Gridlocked throws you into what starts as a nice summer camping trip at Camp Zomi but quickly turns into a zombie nightmare. You’re trying to survive while protecting other campers when everything goes to hell around the resort.
The game mixes action RPG combat with puzzle solving as you fight through hordes of zombies. You’ll explore different areas like Lake Zomi and the Rec Center while trying to figure out what caused the outbreak. The story connects to the developer’s other game Town of Passion, so expect some crossover characters and references if you’ve played that one.
Combat feels solid and there’s actually some strategy involved in keeping your survivors alive. The camp setting works well for the zombie theme, giving you plenty of locations to explore and clear out.
