Yome Juu! GAME
Yome Juu delivers exactly what you’d expect from a romantic comedy visual novel with a ridiculous premise. The story kicks off when protagonist Eiji gets his quiet bookstore life turned upside down by princess Lieselotte, who shows up claiming to be his fiancée. His childhood friend Ikuno responds by slapping him with raw fish, which pretty much sets the tone for everything that follows.
The cast of characters feels genuinely entertaining rather than just cookie-cutter anime tropes. You’ve got the ultra-negative maid Donnerstag, trickster friend Kanata, and mysterious upperclassman Kouzaki all getting mixed up in Eiji’s suddenly chaotic life. The translation is MTL but edited enough to be readable, and at roughly 20 hours, there’s plenty of content to work through. If you enjoy slice-of-life comedy with romantic elements and don’t mind some censored adult content, this one hits the right notes.
