Wayblazer Dämmerung finally brings Eushully’s cult JRPG series to English audiences after 25 years of waiting. This is classic party-based RPG gameplay at its finest, with a monster hunting twist that actually feels rewarding.

The core loop revolves around taking down creatures and harvesting their parts to craft better gear. It’s not just mindless grinding though – there’s a solid corruption storyline tying everything together as you work to rebuild the kingdom’s economy. Combat has tactical depth without being overly complex, and the party management keeps things interesting throughout the 70+ hour campaign.

Fair warning: this comes with Japanese voices only and mosaic censoring since it’s got adult content. But if you can handle old school JRPGs with some mature themes, this scratches that itch perfectly.
