Unexpected Consequences v0.22 (English)

Unexpected Consequences is a roguelike deckbuilder that actually gets the formula right. You’re battling through card-based combat while customizing your character in ways that go way deeper than most games bother with. Every single action has its own animation, which sounds like overkill but actually makes the battles feel way more satisfying than your typical card game.

The developers at SifaGames made everything by hand, and it shows. You’ll catch anime references scattered throughout if you’re into that stuff. Since it’s a proper roguelike, don’t expect tons of story text bogging things down. This is pure gameplay focused on card battles and character transformation mechanics.

Fair warning though, the game recently switched engines so you might see some version weirdness. Currently only available as a desktop download, but a web version is coming to itch.io soon.
