The Starlit Oasis v0.3 (English)

Just wrapped up playing The Starlit Oasis and honestly, it’s not what I expected from the description. This visual novel drops you into Halmond, a fantasy continent where humans are basically the bottom of the food chain after being magically transported from their primitive island home. The world-building actually hooked me more than I thought it would – there’s this whole backstory about five matriarchal races (High Elves, Dark Elves, Orcs, Demonkin, and Amazons) who initially thought humans were part of some returning empire threat.

A World Where Humans Don’t Call the Shots

What sets this apart from typical fantasy VNs is the power dynamic flip. Your character gets bought and employed at the brothel, but the story focuses more on the mysterious women you encounter and the broader political tensions in Halmond. The writing does a decent job exploring how this displaced human society adapts to being subservient after generations of isolation.

I played the unlocked version which gave me access to all story branches without grinding through unlock requirements. The pacing felt smoother that way, though some dialogue sections do drag on longer than necessary. If you’re into story-heavy visual novels with unconventional world-building, this one’s worth checking out.
