The Our Time GAME
I just wrapped up The Our Time and honestly wasn’t expecting to get this emotionally invested in a visual novel. This post-apocalyptic adventure follows Mark, a former soldier who emerges from his shelter years after a devastating virus wiped out 97% of humanity, only to discover Aria in the abandoned ruins of Evergreen. The premise sounds heavy, but the way R6 Games handles the storytelling makes every dialogue choice feel meaningful.
When Love Blooms in the Wasteland
What caught me off guard was how the romance develops naturally despite the bleak setting. Mark and Aria’s relationship unfolds through genuinely witty dialogue that doesn’t feel forced or cheesy. The writing strikes this perfect balance between hope and despair that kept me reading late into the night.
The character development is surprisingly deep for a visual novel. Each conversation reveals new layers to both protagonists, and the choices you make genuinely shape how their bond evolves. I played the unlocked version which let me explore all story branches without restrictions, and I’m glad I did because some of the alternate paths are absolutely worth experiencing.
My only real complaint is that some dialogue sequences run a bit long, but when the writing is this engaging, it’s hard to stay annoyed. The Our Time proves that visual novels can tackle serious themes while still delivering genuine emotional moments.
