The Little Witch’s Promise drops you into Aethernia, a quiet forest where a former hero has settled down with some monster friends. Things get messy when corrupted magic starts spreading everywhere, turning all the monsters into mindless rage beasts.

You play as the protagonist who has hero blood running through their veins, making them the only one capable of fixing this supernatural disaster. The setup is pretty straightforward but works well for what looks like a cozy indie RPG with some darker undertones.

The whole “peaceful life gets disrupted by ancient evil” thing has been done before, but the forest setting and monster companion angle gives it a fresh twist. Worth checking out if you’re into story-driven games with a fantasy setting.
