The premise hits different when you realize this isn’t about some chosen one saving the world — it’s about a washed-up adventurer trying to salvage his actual dream of running a decent bar.
From Rock Bottom to Last Adventure
The protagonist has retired from adventuring and started running a tavern, a dream he's always had. However, the business never got off the ground, and it ended up becoming a seedy bar frequented by penniless scoundrels. The despairing protagonist had almost given up on running his bar and was spending his days pouring his meager earnings into brothels. A turning point arrives for the protagonist. If successful, he could make a fortune and have the chance to revive the tavern. Putting on the adventurer's gear he had once discarded, he calls out to his familiar companions and sets off on another adventure. To fulfill a dream that was abandoned, to rebuild the bar.
