Reclaiming The Lost hits you with a story that feels more real than most games dare to attempt. You play as a guy who gets blindsided by a letter from an ex telling him he has a daughter he never knew about, one who was given up for adoption years ago. Now he’s trying to track her down and deal with all the baggage that comes with it.

The game focuses heavily on piecing together memories and following leads about what really happened back then. You meet this mysterious young girl who helps uncover clues about the past. It’s not your typical feel-good reunion story either, the writing tackles some heavy emotional stuff without sugar-coating it.

Passion Portal did solid work here with the character development. The dialogue feels natural and the plot doesn’t rely on cheap drama tricks. Worth checking out if you want something with actual substance.
