Life's Payback GAME
Life’s Payback puts you in the shoes of someone who gets screwed over by an economic crisis and has to move back home. Your family makes going back to school the condition for getting government aid, but you’re not planning to just roll over and take it.
The revenge angle is what makes this interesting. Instead of being another boring life sim, you get to actually do something about all the crap you’ve dealt with before. The game lets you decide how far you want to take things and what price everyone should pay for how they treated you.
It’s a darker take on the whole “rebuilding your life” genre. The writing doesn’t pull punches about family drama and financial stress, which feels pretty real given how the economy has been lately.
