Growing Pains: The Heart’s Measure is a roguelike deckbuilder that puts serious effort into the small details. Everything gets its own animation, from card plays to character transformations, which makes battles feel way more alive than your typical card game.

The avatar customization runs surprisingly deep for a card battler, and you can tell the developer hand-crafted everything instead of using generic assets. Expect plenty of anime references sprinkled throughout if that’s your thing. Since it’s roguelike, don’t go in expecting tons of story text. This one’s all about the card mechanics and watching your character evolve through battles.

Fair warning that the developer recently switched engines and reset everything, so you’re getting an early build. But the core gameplay loop already feels solid enough to recommend.
