Van’s decision to volunteer for the REBORN program’s latest social experiment kicks off Experiment 34, a visual novel that explores the bizarre aftermath of a world-changing shrinkage event from 2004. The premise alone had me curious — an organization trying to rebuild society by pairing regular-sized people with those affected by the mysterious mass shrinking, all through carefully controlled experiments that feel equal parts scientific and surreal.
