Eternal Ward: Light’s Return picks up after the first battle ended with a costly victory. An angel drags you to some remote village, and honestly, that’s where things get interesting. The setup feels familiar but there’s enough mystery to keep you hooked.

The game doesn’t waste time throwing you into another conflict right away. You’re dealing with the aftermath of whatever went down before, which gives the story some weight. The village setting works well as a breather between the bigger events.
