Divine Dawn throws you into the boots of a wannabe hero who gets in way over their head pretty much immediately. What starts as dreams of greatness quickly turns into nearly dying multiple times and stumbling onto some ancient mystery that might spell doom for everyone.

The combat system pairs you with different partners who actually help in fights instead of just standing around looking pretty. Each companion brings their own personality and banter to keep things entertaining between battles. The twist here is that gaining power comes at a cost – otherworldly energies will physically transform your character over time, so you’re constantly weighing whether that next power boost is worth losing more of your humanity.

Expect plenty of monster girls, therapy sessions between party members, and road trip shenanigans as your colorful crew tries to figure out how to save the world. The writing has a good sense of humor about the whole chosen one setup.
