Demon Games starts with what should be a chill Friday night hangout but quickly turns into something way darker. A group of friends mess around with a spirit board for laughs, except they accidentally break some ancient seal and unleash something that’s been locked away for ages.

This isn’t your typical ghost story where things just rattle around at night. The demon that gets released is ancient and pissed off, and it wants to become real by latching onto whoever has the board. The entity starts messing with everyone’s lives in increasingly creepy ways.

What makes this interesting is how the horror builds through the friend group dynamics. You watch these people you’ve known forever slowly get twisted up by something they don’t understand. The writing does a good job making the supernatural stuff feel grounded and believable.
