Degrees Of Intimacy puts you in the shoes of a university student getting tutored by the infamous “Ice Queen” Professor Evelyn Reed. What starts as academic help quickly turns into something way more complicated when you realize there’s more to her than the cold exterior everyone sees.

The writing is solid and the character development actually feels real. Professor Reed isn’t just some one-dimensional character, she’s got depth and believable motivations. When Professor Katherine Thorne shows up later, things get even messier in the best way possible. Your choices genuinely matter here and can take the story in different directions.

Fair warning though, this is definitely adult content with some morally gray territory. The game doesn’t shy away from power dynamics and the consequences of your actions. If you’re looking for a visual novel that treats its characters like actual people instead of cardboard cutouts, this one’s worth checking out.
