Applicant v0.31 (English)

Applicant throws you into the classic struggle of being a broke student trying to make it in a new country. The setup is pretty relatable – you show up thinking college will be your ticket to success, only to realize you’re nowhere near ready for the entrance exams.

What makes this interesting is how you have to juggle three different priorities: studying hard enough to actually pass those exams, working whatever jobs you can find to pay rent, and still having some kind of social life. The city feels alive with strangers everywhere, and you’re constantly making choices about how to spend your limited time and energy.

The game doesn’t hold your hand either. You can absolutely fail at your original goal and have to pivot to something more realistic, which is honestly refreshing. YellowArachnid built something that captures that anxious feeling of being in over your head in a new place.
