Night Bloom starts off looking like a typical horror setup but quickly turns into something way more interesting. You play as a girl whose boyfriend might be in danger, so she goes to investigate a scream she heard outside their classroom. Things go bad fast and she dies, but then her alarm clock rings and she’s back where she started.

Death, Loops, and Devils Playing Games

The time loop mechanic works really well here. Each death teaches you something new about what’s actually going on, and the mystery keeps you hooked. Is some devil entity messing with her, or is this all part of a bigger trap? The writing does a good job of making you question everything.

SSDog knows how to build tension without relying on cheap jump scares. The psychological horror aspect is solid, and the female protagonist feels like a real person instead of just horror movie victim number 12. If you’re into games that mess with your head and make you think, this one’s worth downloading.
